Hey Guys:

Wow! The Kizomba class was really great! I had soooo much fun it was mostly because the 3 people who were at the class were so appreciative and enjoyed themselves so much. And they really did learn a lot too.

We went about 80 minutes and the class, one guy (Derek) and 2 ladies (Sara and Alice) learned to do the basics very well. I'm really proud of them and impressed with their ability. Sure, I've always said that Kizomba basics are relatively easy but, still, there's an 'attitude' part of it too that comes in the 'mix' and all three of the

students at the class just jumped right into it, listened to what I had to say and got right down to business.

Pillhwan let up use that middle sized room there at the studio and the sound system sounded great. I brought a whole CD of Kizomba style music and we danced to several of them. Even a couple that were sorta 'techno' Kizomba. I actually had 3 CDs that I'd made and I gave each of the students one of them.

I got a couple of pictures and I'll get them up soon.

This little workshop proved to me what I'd always suspected: that Kizomba has it's own magic that dancers

naturally feel. The students said they really enjoyed to dance. Somehow they felt it had a very unique element to it that salsa doesn't have. I really don't know how to describe it more than that but......it was an awesome class.

Later that night something else mucho 'cool' happened too:

I was at Caliente and I met a Hispanic lady there who I knew from.....somewhere. Maybe it was from the KISS group. I'd danced with here before.......somewhere. Anyway, she was real nice and we did some salsa and some bachata and then the DJ started playing some of that 'junk' music. I guess it would be called raggaeton?

Maybe......?

Anyway........I recalled that on some of the Kizomba YouTube videos, that they'd been dancing to music that sounded kinda 'techo-hip-rap' like that. So I said to this gal, "Hey.....let's try this to Kizomba!"

She said, "OK."

It worked like a charm! She picked it up really quick too. Which, again, just goes to show you that there's something about the Kizomba step that people just seem to 'catch' naturally once they're exposed to it.

That tells me something else too:

It tells me that, in the future when we're at a club and we want to 'show' Kizomba.......we'll be able to do it to some of that kind of music that they already play. Ahhhh.....how convenient!!

But, even better than that.....this gal said she had seen my ad (for the Kizomba class) and had planned to come but wasn't able too. But she said she definately plans on coming to my next class. She said she could probably bring some more people too because she's in some kind of 'Mexican' cultural society.

So, my next class, on the 24th, ought to be a little bit bigger. The guy, Derek, who was here this time......he said he's probably going to be out of town. But I'm expecting the ladies, Sara and Alice, to be there.

So put that date on your calendar and be sure and be there. I'll send out some more ads and announcements when the time comes.

Best regards,
