Important message for two groups of people

I'm always scheming and dreaming and I've been thinking a lot lately about how I can find the right mix to take to 'the public' to get them involved in Casino Rueda, Bachata, Cha-cha and Kozomba. I know that the majority of people probably would not be interested in all those dances but, on the other hand, I think there is a lot of people who are interested in more than one of them but, for various reasons, still haven't gotten around to doing anything.

That's the first group of people I'm thinking about. To them I'd say, "Wouldn't it be a shame to leave Korea without taking advantage of an opportunity to learn all of those dances? Well....you may just have your chance pretty soon :-).

Next, I think there's a small group of people who really who really have an interest in Casino Rueda. And I do mean....really. I'm not talking about those people who say they're interested but always seem to let 'other things' get in the way. I'm talking about a minimum of 3 other people who are as interested and serious in Casino Rueda as I am. That's where my plan starts.

For the first group, I've come up with the basic of what I think is a do-able plan to package 'casino rueda', Bachata, Cha-cha and Kizomba in such a way that should be of interest to anybody interested in one or of those dances and/or take a little bit of their time to learn several or all of those dances in the shortest period of time. I'll be telling you more about it pretty soon and I think those of you who like those dances will like my plan. More later.........:-)

For the second group, I've come up with a general outline of a plan that I think could be very good for Casino Rueda in Korea and also lots of fun. More later........:-)

Now....the observation:

This morning I've been taking notes on the comparative content of the two major instructional DVD series I have of casino rueda. One is the Dirty Guide To Salsa and the other is the set from Salsa Lovers.

For my plan which I referred to above, I'm going to possibly/probably be using one or the other of them and I wanted to look at them both to get an idea exactly what they had, and how they presented
it.....relative to complete beginners in Casino Rueda.

After looking at the first three DVDs in Dirty Guide and the first two DVDs in the Salsa Lovers set, I've come to the conclusion that the Salsa Lovers set is better for my purposes. Here's why:

I'm going to be working with relative beginners and I just realized that the Dirty Guide set does not show any live application of the patterns it teaches in an actual rueda. On the other hand, even though it's only with two couples, the Salsa Lovers set is still better because it at least shows two couples and real partner changes. I think that's important for beginners.

The only advantage I see with the Dirty Guide set is that it does contain more patterns per DVD. But that's about it. Plus......I do kinda feel that Rene's connection with the viewer is a little more personal and relevant to the social aspect of casino rueda (I can't decide whether to capitalize that word or not.....any opinions?).

So.....that's my observation for you folks who might be interested in getting some excellent Casino Rueda instructional material.

And that's all I've got to say right now. If this sounds interesting to you and you'd like to know more......gimme a call and we'll talk about what I'm thinking about.

Regards,
