Please come if you're interested. The way these things go, I NEVER know exactly how many people will be there until the actual time of the class. That's the way it always goes. I haven't had any guys say they were coming but that doesn't men some won't.
And anyway, the purpose of the first class is to get you acquainted with the music, the rhythm, the basic steps and just 2-4 variations. I think it's best for the students to give them as much practice on the basic 'feel' of the dance because once you get really comfortable with that, everything else will make more sense and proceed a lot faster.
Another factor is that Pillhwan might be able to come in and participate too. I haven't asked him about it because I know he will if he can and he won't if he can't. He usually has private students on Saturday but sometimes not.
So.....by all means do come. It's free anyway. Once you learn the basics you'll be able to visualize and practice some basics with yourself.
Regards,
Art
p.s. of course, if you can bring a guy.....that's great too. Also, if you can meet me at Bahia Friday night, I'll show you how we can adapt the Kizomba step to lots of bachata too.
Welcome to the site. I just sent you a private message. No particular reason it was private.....it was just the quickest thing to do.
Anyway.....officially: Welcome.
Pillhwan and Eun-Young and YuRa and all their people at Candela are soooo nice. I wish I could stay up here in this area and be of more help with their growth plans. But I'm sure you'll be a big asset too.
Keep in touch with me though because I will, now and again, be back up this way.
